Here I have made a rough sketch of what I hope my DPS to look like in the end as a finished product. This plan helps me to visualise what I need to do and what has been done but also change anything that I would like to change whilst it is easier instead of on photoshop. I will later make another plan to see what I could do differently to change and improve it.

Photoshop Font Testing
In preparation for making my magazine I have decided to test out some fonts so that when I do come around to making my magazine I know what I want to choose. This helps me plan where things will go around the page and the style that I am going for, in addition to familiarising myself to the software.

DPS: Article
Media Article
The famous child actor…returns
as a POP STAR!
Fame isn’t new to the fresh
professional singer, as from a young age on the hit comedy show “Gloat” The
child star filled homes with joy and laughter with her cheeky antics.
Now she is back! Filling homes
and arena’s with cheering and screaming as raging fans scream her name.
“It’s
been an hard road” She said, “I took a break to focus on my studies so that I
could get good grades, but I wanted to come back. I missed all the glam and
fashion that I was constantly surrounded by.”
So what made you come back as a
singer, why not acting? “Well
I wanted to try something new and this just seemed to fit, I talked to my
manager, did a few performances and people liked my style. I always knew I
would want to return to showbiz but I didn’t know what exactly I wanted to do.
I knew what it was like to live life in front of a camera and share the fun
with others but I just fancied a change.”
You’re currently making an
album. What is your favourite song so far? “So far… I would have to say that my favourite song is
called “Forward” it’s a catchy song and it has a nice beat. Not too slow that
it put you to sleep!”
What is your inspiration for
writing and what do you write about? “Well “Forward” is about my journey from being in “Gloat”
‘til now. It’s been a challenge and I kept hearing of how the media can be very
intruding as a teenager and so I wanted to find myself and who I am before the
media imposes personalities upon me that are simply not true.”
Who would you LOVE to collab
with in the future? “Haha,
I was thinking about this the other day. I think it’s good to collab with other
artists that aren’t similar to you because when you’re both so different you
create something rare and interesting it is hopefully…very good!
Recently on Twitter your fans
have been asking you to name them. What do you think you will choose? “I don’t know actually. It’s a
really tough choice there are so many good ones and the name will probably last
forever so I’m undecided but so far I think it is between Axiom because it’s a strange
word and has a powerful meaning but also Fortius as it means stronger in Latin
and I believe that together united we can help each other.
So we’ve joined you here today
on your very first concert night, thank you for having us. What were your
inspirations and what would you say to those wanting to follow in your
footsteps? “I would
say that you should follow your dreams and go with the flow, especially if you
enjoy and have a passion for what you like. Never be disappointed if you don’t
get an audition but as one door closes another will open and it could be better
than the last. Try everything you can because it’s a great way to gain experience
in things.
As for
inspirations I currently love listening to Sam Smith and Jessie J, they’re two
totally different people and so good at what they do.”
And lastly, when sending a
message to your friends what is your favourite emoji?
OMG!
Definitely the moon face! It’s 100% my favourite right now!

Questionnaire Summary and Analysis
Q1 & Q2. With 90% of my answers completed by females this shows that the rest of my results will be answered from a woman point of view and not mixed gendered. Also, the majority with 90% were also answered by teenagers showing that the results are also from a teenagers opinion.
Q3. Showed that the preferable colour choice was Black, Red and Blue which are common themes seen in Mojo and Q magazine as they are bold and stand out, unlike Pink, White and Orange with only 12%
Q4. Displayed that 45% did not buy magazines ever. However, this could be due to the fact that mostly teenagers answered my questionnaire and other age groups would buy or purchase magazines but definitely shows that my magazine would need to attract people with outstanding content.
Q5. 56% said they would not buy a magazine for more than 99p but this could be due to the idea that teenagers might not know the real cost of items and do not have much money to spend on something that could be researched on the internet which is fairly free. Meaning that I would have to produced an internet version of the magazine as well to attract a wider audience.
Q6. Over 50% stated that they would find it more interesting to see a band in mid performance than just posing. This shows me that when I do take the picture for my front cover I will take this idea into consideration.
Q7. A massive 45% said that they never read a magazine and explains very clearly that I will need to make the content of my magazine extremely interesting as only 22% read a magazine every week it shows me that this is a tough industry to cater for.
Q8. With mainly female teenagers it is no surprise that 67% think gossip/celeb news is the most interesting to read and so I will need to consider the age group when producing this article.
Q9 & Q10. The answers gathered from these questions show a wide range of results which I will need to further consider as there was no certain or majority answer I will have to factor in other reasons as to why I have named my magazine a certain name or the type of artist presented.
